Lauzon picks up where he left off, leading the MUTS points yet again after winning at Daytona

The first race of the season featured 36 trucks all fighting for the trophy to be presented at the end of the 54 lap shootout. With 3 laps to go, it looked to be an Insomniac truck headed to victory lane, but coming off of turn 4, Julian Wilson, in 4th, had computer issues, which "warped" into the two leaders, Roger Kiefer and Chris Fischer, causing a multi-car pileup. Josh Lauzon pulled low, barely surviving the wreck, and held off Craig Hoffman to take the checkers at the first race of the season. Lauzon was last year's champion, and is a huge favorite for the title again this year. After winning the first race and exclaiming "I've won the Daytona 500!", he looks to be already on his way towards his 2nd straight.
