These rules will be enforced by all Bosses and Admins.
First of all, we race for fun, if you can't race for fun, don't bother racing
with us.
These rules will be enforced on ALL
OpenSpeedway Servers.
1. We DO NOT allow
jumping the starts or Intentional wrecking.
2. We DO
NOT allow Blocking until the LAST lap.
3. We DO
NOT allow low lining or yellow hugging. There is a WHITE line out near the wall, please find it when not in the
turns. If you don't, you WILL be warned 1 time and then BLACK FLAGGED. If you want to argue about it and throw a fit, you
WILL be ejected.
4. All of our races are more than 1 lap, so there is NO reason to go 3 wide on
the first lap, you will be BLACK FLAGGED. Just because we are running the BR tracks and
they allow 3 wide racing. You should not go 3 wide needlessly. Don't push a bad
position and you'll end up taking most the field out and then you'll be booted.
5. Lappers - When the
leaders are approaching, please go either way high or way low and hold your
line. Use the F2 key and the spacebar to check how close other cars
are to you.
6. Leaders - When passing the lap cars, don't force them 3 wide. When they are
racing for position, they have every right out there that you do.
7. No swearing, flaming or spamming on chat. No fu, fo,
stfu, wtf or anything using other symbols that represent swearing. You will be
ejected on the spot.
8. Pit stops- After pitting, Please merge on the back stretch and not in turns
1 & 2. You will be black flagged if you do not merge on the back stretch.
We have edited the game files to enforce this rule. Drive down pit road, not down through the pit
stalls. Use your auto chat to let people know when you're pitting, but DO NOT post when you are
exiting the pits due to the high amount of chat.
10. Passing - When passing another
car, do not just force your way under them. If your spotter doesn't tell you
that you have a car high, then his spotter doesn't see you down there and more
than likely, he doesn't know that you're there either, back out of it, do NOT
push a bad position. Just having a bumper under someone doesn't give you the
spot, use your head. See rule 13.
11. Burnouts - Please do NOT do
burnouts on the starting grid. It leaves build up on windshields of cars behind
you. You might be warned or you might just be booted. If you use your clutch,
NR2003 has a glitch that will show your rear tires smoking as you rev the engine
with the clutch depressed and the car in gear. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS!
12. Restarts - We have a 1 restart rule. The wreck has to be before the field
scores lap 2 and 1/3 of the field has to be involved. A restart before the
green does not count toward the 1 restart. The admins or bosses are instructed
to check a replay before booting or banning, it might take a few laps for the Restart
to take place, please allow this time. If you purposely cause a big wreck trying
to force a restart, you will be banned.
13. Warp - To help monitor your connection, while on
the track hit Crtl-C and it will give you a meter of how your connection is at
the moment.
14. Attitude - We run this server to race for
fun and to help others enjoy this game. There seems to be people that would
rather push their way to the front rather than race the other drivers. This
kind of attitude is the main cause of too many wrecks. This will not be
tolerated and you will be booted. If you continue this attitude, you'll get a
vacation from the server.
15. Cheating
- It has come apparent that some people have been using cheats, and tweaks to
get more speed out of our fixed setup. We've caught a few just flat out
cheatin. This is the only warning, if caught, you will be banned permanently.
It's pretty sad that people will stoop to cheating to win this game.
16. We will
call for a replay of your qualifying lap if we feel they are not consistent
with our setup. Remember:
A. The racing surface at SS tracks is bewteen the yellow line and the wall.
B. Driving backwards or backing up is also an issue.
C. One donut is acceptable as long as it is after going forward.
D. Going under the yellow line anytime before crossing the line at the
checkered flag is unacceptable.
IF ANY OF THESE THINGS ARE FOUND, IT WILL BE CONSIDERED A FORM OF CHEATING AND
WILL BE BANNABLE.
17. If in
any league or server, you are asked to send in any exports, screen shots, or
replays, and they are not received within 24 hours, you will be removed from
ALL SERVERS. This will be effective immediately. There will be no excuses
accepted.
18. Due to high traffic on our servers, we will no longer allow people to idle
on the server for more than one race. If you are going to be away for more than
one race, please disconnect from the server to allow others to race. Bosses who
are watching the races are exempt from this rule, but do not abuse it.
19. All cars
posted on our cars page belong to someone. DO NOT drive a car that belongs to
another.
20. Our Admins and Bosses use NRTVLive to watch all laps, even the qualifying
laps. If you get caught cheating, you'll recieve a ban. The racing groove is
the area between the yellow line and the wall. If you run below the yellow,
you're cheating.
We reserve
the right to refuse service to anyone
Admins and Bosses can paste these rules
into their player.ini so that they can use them as hotkeys. Back up your
player.ini before editing it.
